 …Praise Him with the timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipes. ” (Psalm 150:4, KJV)

To be free we must praise God at all times. “Praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals.” (Psalm 150:5, NIV) We are told in the bible, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6, NIV) We are even told to let “…all our works praise You, Oh Lord, and your saints shall bless You.” (Psalm 145:10, NIV)

When I was a child, my brother had infantile paralysis (polio). My parents were told my brother would die or be paralyzed and in an iron lung for the rest of his life. My mother would not give in to what the medical doctors reported.

She prayed and read the Bible. She helped Daddy trust the word of God with her. For three months, my brother was in the Crippled Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. He eventually was released to do home therapy and exercise (much like I am doing after my surgery). While my mother stayed with my brother, my daddy stepped up to care for me. After multiple surgeries and continued therapy my brother was healed. All of this took many years.

He became a wrestler and won awards. In his wrestling suit, I thought he looked like a Greek god with broad shoulders and a toned body. In that outfit we could not even see his scars, legs, and feet. While God worked, Mama and Daddy showed faith, love, kindness, and gentleness.

When the Covid pandemic began, I knew it was not the only global illness, nor would it be a quick fix, because polio had stretched out over six and a half years.

I was born on September 23, 1933. Many people were poor. It was the Great Depression era. Later, Daddy bought five acres of land and finally built a wonderful family home. Locally, it was called the “Cutsinger Farm”. I would laugh because a farmer couldn’t make a living on five acres, but we had a couple of cows, chickens /eggs, fruit trees, and a small vegetable garden. We never went hungry, thanks to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God has always come through for us in difficulties. “So let us be thankful because we have a God with a kingdom that cannot be shaken. We should worship God in a way that pleases Him, with respect and fear.” (Hebrews 12:28, NIV). So freely praise, glorify, and honor the LORD!

Moment by moment Father God is showing and telling us what to do through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Obey! Instantly do the word. He does not say “try” but “do”. “Fear not, for lo, I am with you always.” (Isaiah 41:10, NKJV) Can we learn through a mistake what to do as well as what not to do?

God has increased my desire for girlfriends. You know that men and women don’t think alike. So my women friends are an important part of my life.

Also recall that our God said, “…It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an helpmeet for him.” (Genesis 2:18, NLT) He did! He created, predestined Garry as my husband from the foundation of the earth. I am coming to understand His meaning of the words now, more than ever. Is there life after prison?

Of course! “Prison” can be a jail, state or federal prison, or our own ways of thinking and behaving. The difference between trying vs doing is obeying the word. “Fear not, for lo, I am with you always.” (Isaiah 41:10, NKJV) and He is in you all the time. God desires that all come to know and fellowship with Him.

Did any of you see my right hand and arm the past couple of weeks? They were black and blue. Wow! It was ugly. In my younger days that would have stopped me from leaving the house or doing what God wanted me to do. But we must be willing to face our problems and take actions to solve them. Do not allow temporary problems or setbacks to distract you from your goals.

Today the black and blue have almost gone just as my doctor said they would. You can do what you must regardless of looks, wrong beliefs about yourself, low self-esteem… They don’t change what God wants for you.

Believe that you possess the potential for development and achievement. Remember that when two on earth agree, we can assure we reach His goals for us smoothly and as quickly as possible. So, carefully, select your team members to assist you.

All the exercise and therapy required after my knee replacement surgery is helping me continue to minister as I recover. Please keep praying for restoration of the Ark as well as my body. Although my body is getting older the Holy Spirit in me is getting stronger. God is doing His healing as He promised and showing the way to the Ark’s victory in Jesus.

We can have a godly life of influence in the lives of others while we experience the Holy Spirit in our own lives.

We can choose to be at peace in difficult times of war and violence because Jesus took all our sins and guilt. We cannot drink, gamble, use drugs, shop, exercise, eat, or distract ourselves enough to hide from or make our sins and bad behavior go away.  But Jesus came to give us abundant life.

We can face both life and death courageously because of Him. The gift of eternal life is ours. If we confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Savior we are cleansed. Think about that and thank the Father. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God and Jesus took our place as a substitute so we don’t have to bear punishment for our sins.

Realize there is a cross, a tomb, and resurrection for each of us who are willing to receive His great love. And if we are truly grateful for that gift, we can share it with others.

We must “be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” (Ephesians 4:2, KJV) For “better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8, NKJV) Showing others patience and forbearance lets them see what Jesus is like.

Our victory is founded on what Jesus did on Calvary. He does not forsake anyone who seeks Him. He makes all things new. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9, ESV) There are no secret things. “Lord, you have seen the wrong done to me. Uphold my cause!” (Lamentations 3:59, NIV)

He has also seen what each of us has done to others. Help us Lord, to seek, ask, and pray for your righteousness, and to serve you with gladness and joyful singing. “…Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even if he dies.’” (John 11:25, NASB) Part of a life of service is to tell others the truth about Jesus and eternal life.

Be patient and kind to one another. Forgive others all the time. Remember that you cannot judge others and they cannot judge you. Only God has the authority to judge us. But before he does, He sent Jesus to save us from our sins, to be sacrificed as a substitute for us in our sin, to be the example of how to live.

We were created to do God’s handiwork, to do good work through Jesus Christ. We’ve been created in His image – male and female – renewing a right spirit within each of us. Jesus’ death took away our sin and his resurrection gave us eternal life. Jesus is the seal that marks us as God’s children.

     Thoughts affect our attitudes (Proverbs 4:23). So, we need to be careful what we think. This winter weather and news of war may keep changing and trying to control our lives right now.

Don’t forget that our attitudes choose whether we come out victorious in these or any situation. I decided to address how I feel about negative situations right NOW! Please, Father, lead and guide us to determine our mental attitudes. Help us look forward to positive things because right now, there are very few positive things on the news!

 Like Paul, we can choose to be a conqueror, to lean on God. Ask for God’s, the Holy Spirit’s, and Jesus’ ability to acquire Godlike attitudes. He can and is willing to bring us through every circumstance and situation that comes our way. God wants us to have a godly lifestyle and a nature like His …that we be not “conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2 NKJ)

We must not copy the behavior and customs of the world, nor join in badmouthing. Instead, we are to let God transform us as we seek Him at this difficult time. We can rest in Him and let Him bring His will into our todays!

As we choose to spend more time communicating with Him in prayer and in reading His word, good things will happen. Good happens as you allow His word to go from your head to your heart. Be a doer of the word!

 If we don’t spend quality time developing our personal relationship with Him, how can we be transformed to His way of thinking? We need to continually renew our minds. Do not dwell on negatives but rest in Him and seek His joy. You will be amazed at how God can promote His Spirit of Faith in your quiet time. Romans 10:10 says “…for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness.”  Remember that “the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”  (James 5:15)

     Ask the Holy Spirit, “What is Your pleasure today? Show us what pleases You, Lord.”  Meditating on and speaking His word builds up your faith and trust in your God! “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  (Philippians 4:13)
