Thanks to you who answered God’s call for Ark needs in December: Many thanks to our prayer warriors who commit to daily intercession for our work. Our thanks also to those donors who have recommitted time and funds to support our mission. We are grateful for our essential workers who set up, cook, serve meals, clean, and maintain the facility to assure we can help those in need. The generosity of the community of Muskogee assured we could serve Christmas food for our homeless participants all day. You brought ham, turkey, dressing, gravy, potatoes, green beans, salads, desserts, breads, and gifts. People who are homeless could take a meal early and another later in the day. It’s been such joy to know each of you give your best so our homeless friends can eat until FULL! We appreciate the participants who take on tasks like clearing away after meals, sanitizing seats and fixtures, preparing the newsletter mailings, and generally volunteering to help keep things running in safe, healthy ways. Thanks to Dr. Steven Fry and friends for the shipment of masks and to the anonymous donors of hygiene supplies, tithes at the first of the month and a collective $3300 for Christmas. Heartfelt thanks to long-time friends for the blankets and quilts. Our annual appreciation of Muskogee Police Department for Christmas bikes and backpacks for the homeless. Our gratitude also to our volunteer staff and Board who recommitted to work another year with no earthly reward. The Ark exists because of our Triune God and EACH of you – all ethnicities, cultures, skills, talents, gifts, and prayers. We thank you for your dedication to do the Matthew 25:35-40 work of caring for our neighbors as if doing it for our Savior.
NOTE:
Thanks to everyone for wearing masks and cooperating with our safety precautions!
