A message from Ark Founder Sally Weiesnbach:
We continue working on the restoration of the buildings that house the Ark of Faith. There have been setbacks as we complete one project, only to have Spring storms do more and different damage. Insurance from the March 7 fire is paid only in small increments. See our latest progress and needs.
Keep going until I say It Is Finished
November Update:
The basement and 1st floor of the historic Ark building at 401 E Broadway are nearing reopening. We are raising funds for Dana Tiger and her daughter to spearhead restoration of the one-of-a-kind Acee Blue Eagle wall murals. Our interim location (the “little Ark” or “Lifeboat”) at 429 E. Broadway (picture left) hosts the Lamplighter Coffeehouse and meals for our homeless participants and restoration workers every Tu-Wed-Th. Find Christmas Eve Dinner and the Teen Christmas Shoppe there also. We’re required to limit seating, wear Masks, and ask for proof of vaccination due to continued COVID.
October Update:
We are happy to report that the historic skylight on the roof of the original Ark building at 401 E Broadway has been replaced! Efforts are progressing toward collecting enough funding to restore the one-of-a-kind Acee Blue Eagle wall murals. We are starting the project to put a new roof on our interim location (the “little Ark” or “Lifeboat”) at 429 E. Broadway (picture left). The interim location offers the Lamplighter Coffeehouse two Fridays a month and meals for our homeless participants and restoration workers every Tu-Wed-Th. we are required to limit seating, wear Masks, and ask for proof of vaccination due to COVID. Stay tuned here for more Ark updates…

August Update: Much must be done to 1) protect our original and interim structures from weather and vandalism, and 2) prepare the interim location to function as an Ark “lifeboat” while restoring the main structure.
The Ark board, staff, community members, and our homeless participants are working at both locations
