April 2022 Thanks

Thanks to you who answered God’s call for Ark needs in April: We thank Muskogee Presbyterian Church for hosting our 40^th Anniversary celebration April 10. We are grateful for anonymous donors of $600 at that celebration, premium payments for continuing our building insurance, and $1200 to use “as needs arise.” Thanks to Dorothy Sandlin and Jack Pevehouse for $100 each, to Bob & Elaine Brownell for $250, and the Muskogee Lions Club for $750. Our gratitude to the volunteer cleaners from two churches for help with restoration labor. We so appreciate Don & Debbie Coy for furnishings replacing those lost in the fire. We are thankful to learn our insurance claim will be paid and that our friends at Ray’s House committed to maintain the grounds of both properties. We’d like to acknowledge all our PayPal donors whose gifts totaled more than $7000. Thanks to Cathy Spaulding at Muskogee Phoenix for continuing coverage of our needs and to Sadler Paper Company for their gifts that help us serve meals and even take out the trash. Our thanks also to Vicki Spencer, CPA for advice and assistance. We continue to appreciate the local stores and restaurants that donate food to serve homeless people and senior citizens while we’ve had no facilities. Thank God for our all-volunteer Board and staff who faithfully continue to oversee our efforts, give out meals and hygiene kits, and keep the Ark running. We ask God’s blessings for our daily prayer warriors who intercede for our work and the big decisions ahead regarding restoration after the fire. Our gratitude to our generous community members and supporters who call to encourage. The Ark exists because of our Triune God and EACH of your ethnicities, cultures, skills, talents, gifts, and prayers. We thank you for your Matthew 25:35-40 work of caring for our neighbors as if doing it for our Savior.
