About Us
The Ark of Faith Foundation is a non profit service organization whose primary purpose is to meet the basic survival needs of the disadvantaged population of Muskogee and the surrounding area. The Ark of Faith Foundation has an ultimate goal of getting people with talents together with people with needs.

We are located at 401 East Broadway in Muskogee Oklahoma, in what was once known as the Muskogee Carnegie Library Building. This historical landmark was donated to us in 1981 and is available as a fine arts community center open to the public for projects and programs year round. The Ark of Faith Foundation has many out reach programs including our on site Free Meals program, where 150 -250 meals are served to those in need weekly and with generous donations from our supporters we are able to provide groceries for 100-150 families per month.

Other programs include; The Clothing Closet, which distributes clothing to approximately 50-75 families in need. We also work with other local agencies in an effort to distribute clothing to local nursing homes, boy’s schools, to children in need of school uniforms, and “back to work” outfits for women re-entering the workforce.

Learning classes are also provided. Literary training is offered in the form of GED classes. Deaf singing classes are also offered in an effort to broaden our public’s communication skills, and develop a greater understanding for our nonverbal neighbors. In addition to educating we also offer counseling and rehabilitation. In cooperation with the Muskogee Court Related Services program. Juveniles as well as adults are encouraged to participate in building strong self esteem and setting solid personal goals. The Ark of Faith also offers a 12 Step program, and provides “in the field” training for those interested in prison ministry.

We offer special services around the holidays, including a program called the Gift of Giving, which provides new and gently used toys and sporting equipment to children and teens, so that every child will learn the act of reciveing non conditional love not just Christmas morning but any other day of celebration.

Friday nights we host an open coffee house from 8 to 11 p.m. with musical entertainment, and refreshments, as a safe and wholesome alternitave for local youth, and the young at heart. We encourage everyone to bring a song or a poem in an effort to share a moment in the spotlight.

We also have a Women helping Women program that meets on specific Saturdays where area women are encouraged to learn, discuss, and pray over the obsticales they face in life be it as wifes, mothers, caregivers, working mothers, female clergy, or women in general.

The ark of Faith is unique it that it is the only local service organization whose staff is wholly made up of volunteers. There are no paid employees. No person is denied services or participation on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, handicap, age, creed, belief, sex, or political affiliation.
